Microsoft Seminar

I have just attended Microsoft Seminar yesterday, that talk about Future of .NET. This seminar consists of two topics, "Migrating to .NET" and "Future of .NET", in separate room. Future of .NET covers a lot about new feature in SQL Server 2005 and Visual Studio.NET 2005. In SQL Server 2005, i'm most interested in using managed code for Stored Procedure, Function, Triggers, and so on. It means, now i can create stored procedure, like I make function in .NET Framework. There is a lot of new feature in new version of SQL Server. In Visual Studio.NET 2005, we now can use refactoring, code snippets, generics, and more attractive and easier way to deal between user interface and data layer, just a few click, and you can display data in grid, without any codes. One thing that bothers me, why is there features that run in C# and don't run in VB.NET, and vice versa. Why don't just make it the same?
One topic more in Future of .NET is Reporting Service, new feature in SQL Server 2000. The speaker said that this feature is intended to be included in SQL Server 2005. But, some specialist seem that this feature can be already used in SQL Server 2000. I don't know whether this feature is already stable, Microsoft had already released it on March 2004.
